ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – The Mid-Atlantic region has been the most hotly competitive gaming market in the United States for decades, and that competition will heat up in coming months. The expected authorization of full-service casinos in the New York City areas will sprompt even more competition, such as fueling the ever-present prospect of gaming in the Meadowlands in northern New Jersey, which would in turn compete against casinos in Atlantic City. At the same time, new gaming verticals are arising throughout the region, with the expansion of igaming in markets from Maryland to New York and elsewhere.
A panel of gaming experts from the public and private sectors will address this complex web of issues:
- Moderator: Joe Weinert, Executive Vice President, Spectrum Gaming Group
- Sen. Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr., New York, Chairman of Committee on Racing, Gaming and Wagering
- Robert Norton, President, Cordish Gaming Group
- Mark Giannantonio, President & Chief Executive Officer, Resorts Atlantic City
- Stacey Rowland, Chairperson, New York Gaming Association
“This topic will appropriately lead off our conference, setting the stage for a range of critical issues that we will address,” said ECGC co-founder Lloyd D. Levenson, Chairman and CEO of the Cooper Levenson law firm. “These leaders are well positioned to identify the issues and offer solutions that the entire gaming industry needs to consider,” said ECGC co-founder Michael Pollock.
The 27th ECGC, taking place April 17-18 2024 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, will include keynote addresses from 11 major industry CEOs. Additional speakers include a wide range of leading regulators, suppliers, investors and other experts who will address a broad array of topics that are central to the future of gaming.
The conference will also present a Lifetime Achievement Award to David Rebuck, Director of the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement. The cocktail reception on April 17 will honor the legacy of the late gaming pioneer H. Steven Norton.
Past ECGC speakers have included six governors of New Jersey, as well as all CEOs who have ever led the American Gaming Association. The conference will again provide outstanding opportunities for sponsorships, networking, professional development, and business-to-business discussions.
