Industry Leaders Richard Carter, Geoff Freeman, Timothy Wilmott to Keynote 22nd Annual East Coast Gaming Congress, June 13-14 in Atlantic City

Three prominent gaming industry leaders will deliver keynote addresses at the 22 nd annual East Coast Gaming Congress, which takes place June 13-14 at the Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center in Atlantic City.

Richard Carter, CEO of SBTech, will keynote the NexGen Gaming Forum, which fills ECGC Day 1 with cutting-edge panel discussions on sports betting, igaming and game design. Carter previously ran the Deutsche Bank European gaming franchise in London. He has over 10 years of experience focused on both the global land-based and online gaming sectors.

“A potential regulated US sports betting market presents the largest opportunity in gaming since the advent of mobile devices,” Carter said. “We are anticipating a series of intense discussions about the key regulatory, technical and marketing points surrounding the topic and very much look forward to meeting US colleagues and stakeholders at the event.”

Timothy Wilmott, Chairman of the American Gaming Association, and Geoff Freeman, President and CEO of the American Gaming Association, will keynote ECGC Day 2, which includes several panels in concurrent sessions as well as the signature CEO Roundtable.

Wilmott is also President and CEO of Penn National Gaming, which he joined in February 2008 after a long career at Harrah’s Entertainment. Wilmott oversees Penn National’s portfolio of 29 gaming properties nationwide, and the company has a pending transaction to acquire Pinnacle Entertainment. Freeman is in his fifth year at the AGA, the national trade group representing the US casino industry. He has launched a multi-year, research-driven advocacy campaign to demonstrate gaming’s broad support across the country.

“It’s a pleasure being back at the East Coast Gaming Congress,” Wilmott said. “I look forward to sharing my perspectives both as CEO of Penn National Gaming and as the new Chair of the American Gaming Association.”

“This year’s East Coast Gaming Congress comes at a significant moment in US gaming history,” Freeman said. “With industry perception better than ever, and the potential for nationwide legal, regulated sports betting to drive the largest gaming expansion in a generation, there couldn’t be a better time to come together as an industry in New Jersey, where this all started.”

In addition to the NexGen Gaming Forum, ECGC includes the welcome cocktail reception on June 13 at The Pool at Harrah’s, the June 14 Keynote Luncheon with New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, and outstanding networking opportunities.

More than 500 gaming operators, equipment manufacturers, regulators, attorneys, architects, analysts, public officials, investors and other gaming-related professionals are expected to attend ECGC. The full two-day conference schedule and registration is at www.ecgc.us. Early-bird registration savings are now available.

ECGC is organized and produced by Cooper Levenson, Attorneys at Law and Spectrum Gaming Group.
