Carrie Woerner Joins ECGC Panel on Future of NY Gaming

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – New York Assembly Racing and Wagering Committee Chair Carrie Woerner will join a stellar panel of prominent speakers at the 28th Annual East Coast Gaming Congress to help analyze and project the future of destination casinos in Downstate New York.

The upcoming East Coast Gaming Congress, to be held at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino April 15-16, is the longest-running gaming conference in the United Stated. The Downstate New York session, focusing on the seismic regional impacts from these future destination resorts, will be moderated by Patrick Brown, a veteran Albany lobbyist and founding partner of Brown & Weinraub.

Other speakers, previously announced, are:

  • Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr., Chairman of New York State Senate Committee on Racing, Gaming and Wagering
  • Dr. Jane Bokunewicz, Faculty Director of the Lloyd D. Levenson Institute of Gaming Hospitality and Tourism (LIGHT) and a Professor of Hospitality Tourism and Event Management in the School of Business at Stockton University
  • Jeffrey Gural, Chairman of GFP Real Estate and owner of The Meadowlands, Tioga Downs and Vernon Downs
  • Adam Rosenberg, Senior Advisor to Blackstone

The 28th Annual East Coast Gaming Congress will include keynote addresses from New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy as well as 10 leading industry CEOs. Other speakers include a wide range of leading regulators, suppliers, investors and other experts who will address a broad array of topics central to the future of gaming. The conference will also present a Lifetime Achievement Award to Jim Allen, Chief Executive Officer of Seminole Gaming and Chairman of Hard Rock International.
